The Longmont Police DepartmentSends the majority of referrals which come to Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP). Officers may exercise their own discretion and refer an offender to LCJP rather than issuing a summons. The St. Vrain Valley School DistrictServes approximately 21,600 students in 39 schools. Community Group Conferencing (CGC) has been used in lieu of an expulsion and to avert progression to the next step of an expulsion plan. Longmont Municipal Courts and ProbationThe municipal court and probation handles youth and adults offenders who have violated municipal laws. The court and probation may send adjudicated offenders to LCJP to participate in restorative processes. Alternatives For Youth (AFY)Alternatives for Youth, Inc. (AFY), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, promotes academic persistence adn success of youth by instillin values that lead to positive choices and positive community impact and by encouragin social, cultural, and self development.
