Get started at LCJP with the Restorative Practices Orientation!

Whether you just want to find out more about restorative justice and LCJP, or you'd like to contribute to this work by volunteering or donating, this is a good place to start.

The following subjects are covered in the Orientation:

  • Introduction to Restorative Practices & Restorative Justice
  • Overview of LCJP Programs and a brief history of LCJP
  • Basic restorative skills practice with affective statements and affective questions

Restorative Practices Orientation - Valentines Day

Make your Community your Valentine by joining us for a special Valentine’s Day edition of this monthly workshop. Show your love for Longmont by learning about how the success of restorative justice here is drawing the attention of other cities around the US.

Get started at LCJP with the Restorative Practices Orientation! Restorative Practices is a field of sociology and communication that includes models of Restorative Justice.

This Orientation is a prerequisite for volunteering with LCJP, and includes information for those who just want to find out more about what we do at LCJP.

The following subjects are covered in the Orientation:

  • Overview of LCJP Programs and a brief history of the organization
  • Restorative Practices v.s. Restorative Justice
  • Instruction on how to make affective statements
  • Instruction on how to ask affective questions
  • Connection Circle format for skills practice and coaching
